A couple of my heirloom tomato plants are done producing and i am going to dig them up.  So i will have room for more tomato plants.
Q.  Is it too late to plant tomatoes?

Hot is bad for tomato production, the flowers tend to fall off or not bloom.
But check the time until  harvest and see where that takes you.
Just remember they will need additional food in the soil as the other plants used it all up, and
plenty of water most likely.

I had a feeling probably won't grow.  Maybe a cherry tomato plant?

Otherwise i  might do radishes.  They grow well in the heat.
