we saw kids on NorthPark with signs wanting to go to Italy ....
Have you thought of an auction ? maybe the kids could go door to door asking for anything for an auction , then auction the items off ....it will just take time & advertizing around the area.
Baby sitting, car washes, bake sales, dog washes & dog walking , lawn care , house cleaning, window washing .....

Are you a member of a church? That would be your best bet for a raffle. I can donate some handmade hair bows & a tutu bag that I've made if you'd like. I can ask my mother if she'd like to donate an item or two as well. Standing on the intersection would be a great idea, just keep at it every weekend. Maybe ask Walmart of you can set up a table outside of the entrances asking for donations too. Maybe try a bake sale there? If this Walmart won't let you, I know I saw this happening many times at the Walmart in the woodlands off of 242 & 45. Italiano's would be great to ask for a sponsor, they are very involved in the community. Maybe ask Hectors, Los Vega, Mexican restaurants in general. Best of luck.
