Has anyone been to the museum of fine arts in downtown Houston? I haven't been in yeeears. How are the exhibits & prices? General thoughts on the museum?

The exhibits are just beautiful.  Prices aren't bad, for an Art Museum.  It is just a wonderful place to go, imo.

I've been asking DH to take me for the past 8 years & today out of the blue he told me he wants to take me for our anniversary (on the 22nd) followed by dinner downtown! I haven't been in about 10 years & loved it growing up. Just not sure what all has changed in the last decade though. Trying to plan ahead I guess. Prices aren't outrageous? Their website is confusing mobile.

It is only $10 per adult.  I don't think they have any special exhibits right now that you have to pay extra for.  

It is just such a lovely place, and it would be great for an Anniversary.

Leave your camera in the car... you can't take any pictures of any thing in the museum.

No pictures? I'm sure my Instagram feed will say otherwise! That's what camera phones are for.
