Weekend plans? - Page 2

We are going to get started on a side patio we are putting in. I am against doing it until Nov when the weather cools off. My dh wants it done, now.
I may be in traction come Monday 
@Fallon:
My dad's going to build a new patio/deck where an old one is in the process of being turned out. I think it'll be finished before 2022

@fallon ...my hubby is the same exact way , he dosen't care if it's midnight & 200 degrees when he starts a project he wants it finished yesterday & perfect. Sometimes I could wring his neck , but I do love the finished project , so I just grit my teeth & bare it till it's over then I fall into a heap on the bed & passout (LOL).

Nothing I dislike more than the sound of a Lowe's truck backing up my driveway at the butt crack of dawn, on a day I had planned on doing nada.
But I do want this project done. We are going to have a big screen outside so we can project movies on it. My boys are super excited about this. (as are most of our neighbors, who will be coming over to watch with us

Hubby is getting his eyes examined this morning for new glasses. Then when he gets home we are going to Kohls for new house shoes for me. Then it's over to Randalls for the items they have on sale . Back home to BBQ on the patio , watch some movies & kick back & relax ...sigh .....

@ Fallon ...we would put a TV on our patio but the mosquitoes would eat us alive , are you have your area screened in ?

No, we are putting this on the side of the house. We have our back patio, another patio in one corner of the yard, and then this one.
We put in a concrete patio about 4 years ago and afterwards we had about a 80% decrease in mosquitos.
And dh will put out some yard guard every few days. We are lucky to not have a mosquito problem.

@cajungirl1005: What part of LA are you from? I grew up just north of Baton Rouge and we lived in LaPlace for 13 years. As far as this weekend, misc. yard work and "honey-do" jobs.
@Retired_Engineer: I grew up just outside of New Orleans and spent 37 years in southeastern louisiana. I used to have customers in Laplace, so i know that town very well!
@mardigrasman: Small world! It's been almost 20 years since we moved here from LaPlace. I was back in LaPlace for a visit a few years ago.... boy, it has changed and grown. I really miss the food from that area!
@Retired_Engineer: I am going back to New Orleans next weekend for my 25 th high school reunion ( Chalmette High Owls)............
@mardigrasman: Have a good trip... and eat some good food while you're there!

Went to see Snow White and the Huntsman today. Way better than I thought it was going to. But I have to say, can some one please cast Kristen Stewart in a movie where she has to act. Where she has to be a character that isn't full of angst and that can freaking speak what she is thinking.
For sure not a movie for little kids. There is nothing sweet and cute about this one. So think twice before taking little ones.
