Has anyone ever measure their cat for a carrier? I can't find a definite answer online about what size to get for kitty if he is x long by x tall. And I have a very long cat.
Are you doing it for airline travel or for just taking it to the vet? I know the airlines require the pet have certain clearance inside the kennel for the pet to move around.
I need it for going to the vet and for emergencies. I carry him in a large sack that some gifts came in one Christmas, but can be tricky to hold closed.
I have one in my garage that our dog was shipped in when he was a pup and we rescued him. It's too small for our dog or cat. I can get it out over the weekend and measure it if you want try it.
hm...for ami (who weighed 13 lbs when he was underweight!) i just used a medium sized plastic dog crate. that way i knew he would fit and have room to move around. plus with him being so heavy, i didn't want him to break something smaller. it worked out really well.
ok, thanks? I measured Cowboy with a tailor's tape measure. I actually had to stretch him to full length to make sure of his size. I think I know now what to get for him. I'll probably get it from WM if I can.
I would just take him to PetSmart and put him in one.. Better safe than sorry you can borrow one of mine to take him if you need to.. If you need it just pm me
I'd just get the largest cat sized one there is or one for a small dog. I can barely get mine in a carrier, they despise it and it's not big enough for when they go spread eagle and try to stick to the sides, lol.
I got the small one when my cat was a kitten and now I have 2 that are almost 16 pounds a piece. We usually take them to the vet seperate and they can turn around and stand up but not a hole lot of room. The ones at Walmart are much cheaper in price than any place else.
