Sometimes rehoming a dog is doing what's best for them. A few months ago, I took in a Shiba Inu whose owners were moving, and couldn't take him with them. In turn, we ended up with another great family dog, as I have really wanted to get another Shiba for some time. This dog was raised with small children, trained, and very well taken care of (have all of the vet records) came from a reputable breeder in Washington State, and is such a great dog. In turn, he now lives with a family that loves him back, keeps him indoors, plays with him, lets him out when he wants, exercises him, lets him sleep on the bed, etc. If the person who is looking to rehome the dog does their homework, and interviews people, checks references, etc. then they really are trying to do what is in the best interest of the dog. The woman I got the Shiba from interviewed about 6 people, and the process took about a week. She chose me because I was the one that knew the most about the breed, and have owned 2 Shibas before. She wasn't 100% sure about the other people who showed interest in the dog because a lot of people fall in love with their looks and don't realize what butt-heads they can be. There are great people out there willing to take in a dog, you just have to be patient and find them.
I know it's hard for a lot of people to understand, as they would never "abandon" their dogs, as they are family members, but sometimes people find themselves in situations they didn't expect to be in, and they are heartbroken over it, but they know they have to find another home for their dog.

Many of you may think I am just trying to dump the dogs. That is not the issue,,, in fact we are actively looking for someone who wants to take care of them. We recently moved and there is not enough room. Life changes and things happen un expected. I am not trying to DUMP them,,, we truely love and care for them,, just feel that they could have a better life, than what we can offer. I am not going into details to why we want to find them a new home,,, we just do. We have had them for over 4 years,,, I am just asking for anybody interested, in taking them. If are not, please I do not need to hear your opinion about dumping them... Its hard enough trying to just let them go.

The top one is a good looking dog. Looks like part German Shepherd and Rhodesian ridgeback or lab. Good luck trying to find a home.
