I had those before, they live a lot longer than the pet shops say they do. They were really sweet and loved sunflower seeds.

Yea my mom has like 6!!!! One died kinda quick, but the others lived at-least 3 years..I think she has one now that is 5. I explained to my daughter that they are more like fish than dogs when talking life span, she understood as we have had bunnies, gerbils, guinea pigs, etc.

Cute......I have a rescue hamster named HAMMIE. Someone returned her to Petco, she was scared to death, skinny & dehydrated. I couldn't help myself, I went over to the aquarium to see her and when I moved her house so I could see her, she screamed. It broke my heart, so I adopted her. She lives in a bedroom with a gerbil (GERBIE) and my feral cat. She loves pumpkin seeds from Whole Foods.
