I have a appt with Tina Bui in Atascocita and one at Lake Houston Dental. My daughter needs braces so I may need one dentist for my little one and than one for her. Most everyone I am calling is out of network though.

Bui does not let you back with your child unless things have changed in the last 5 years. My daughter went in the back and freaked out because of the rubber gloves when she was 2.

They brought me in after they were done and trying to calm her down. At that point, all they were doing was checking out her baby teeth. I didn't go back again to them after that.

You are right, while I was allowed to go back during the consult I called to check the policy and they said I wouldn't be able to go back during treatment.

I'm at a loss this has been so looks like I'll be driving back to San Antonio to getthis procedure done for my son. At least I know it will be done correctly, I will be by his side and he won't be traumatized.

We used Dr. Jon Wheeler in the Woodlands too because he came highly recommended and allowed us back in the room. We loved him for our son. My dd on the other hand does not like men and would not settle down for him so we switched to Dr. Bui. I totally love her. We've had bad dental experiences with ds before Wheeler. Every time we went he needed some kind of proceedure and cost a fortune. Since seeing Dr. Bui (2 check ups now) he has not had 1 cavity. Neither had my daughter. They did put that protectant on their teeth on first visit. I am really happy to have found her. My dd (pre-schooler) "mom I think I have a cavity, I need to go to the dentist!" because she likes going there. To me, that is a pretty good indication.

Please tell me that it was just the cleaning, did she actually go back and have work without you, if so please take her in to see a doctor right away. Also if you think he broke law or policy in any way make a complaint with the dental board RIGHT NOW. They will probably do nothing but it will be one more on file for future cases.

This is how they get you, its in very small and hidden print that you cant go back for SOME procedures, or papoose MAY be used. So you get a cleaning and they let you go back and everyone seems happy and trustworthy, they wait till you pay and your kid is wasted on their drugs and then ...ooopppssss sorry no parents allowed for safety...then you sit there trying to figure out what to do, your kid is drugged your money isn't refundable, things seem safe so you feel your being too protective ....etc. These dentist that do these things usually seem very trust worthy upfront, their records are clean because dental boards cover their ass and paid companies get the negatives removed online while friends and family post fake positives. Dr Jai seems like a saint upfront, dig and investigate a years worth like me and you will find a totally different man. But who researches dentist for a year....LOL Most figure a dental board look up, a few public questions and an internet search and BBB should be enough....not with these evel people, they are literally CON artist! They are very good and covering their @ss.

I have never used BUI but I know her name has come up in negatives through all my research, enough to make me stay clear!

Because that topic is so old it will not show up in a quick search as it never did for me when I searched dr Jai before using him...someone on that forum needs to bump it up every month or so. That way It will show online faster. I had one on here that I did that to but it got lost when the forum lost all past post.

It was just a cleaning and I was with her but they gave me an estimate of nearly $2000 for work needing to be done on BABY TEETH!!!! They did say I couldn't go back for that procedure so I kindly declined grabbed my children and ran. Glad to know my instinct was right.

Oh you got off easy, our estimate was almost(may have been over) 4 grand to be done in 2 appointments....We never made the second for obvious reasons. CupcakeMama, know that you just basically saved your child from hell! If you had chose him you would not have been allowed back and your child would have been drugged, Papoosed restrained(only face showing and free), and been in serious harms way for work that wasn't even needed!!!! I see he hasn't changed his ways at all........;-(

SHAME ON YOU DR JAI AND STAFF..... ITS PATIENT BEFORE MONEY NOT MONEY BEFORE PATIENT.....SHAME ON YOU SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU!!!!! YOU UTTERLY DISGUST ME!

I use to work for dr ragsdale in the woodlands and I can give you the inside of the dental office. The reason the hygentist try to take back the children without the parents is because it's a known fact that the children do better without their parents in the room! I am a mom of four so yes I can say this. As far as the papoose being used dr ragsdale always asks the parent how far they want her to go. If the parent decides that they don't then it's considered a happy visit with no treatment done just a look around. In her office there are windows so you can see what is going on during the cleaning appointment. Did you know that if you don't treat some baby teeth the it can cause perment damage to the adult tooth. Dr ragsdale is very detailed when it comes to her treatment plans and will tell you what you need and if you dont need it she won't do it. Her staff is great of course. If you eve have questions she will personally call you if you don't feel comfortable talking with the staff!! www.drrags.com--- check her out!!
