I am in my 6 th month of pregnancy and During the last few weeks I have had serious abdominal pain after doing any kind of activity( treadmill, yard work, dog walk). I have read it is normal cause the muscles are stretching with the growing belly but is it gonna be this way for the next 3+ months?
I have pretty much decided to stop working out at the gym cause I am tired of hurting afterwards. I don't even work that hard when I go but apparently my abs can't take it.

I would call my doc and go in for a brief check, you can't be too careful.
And we are getting hotter so much earlier this year. And when you are pregnant you just can't do the things you did before. You get hotter faster, you tire easier, and you do not have the same amount of stamina. Your body is busy growing a little person, and it is working 24/7. Give it a chance to rest. And while your body is resting, you better get some rest too. Because it gets harder to sleep the further along you go. And once that sweet baby is here, you will be wishing you had napped when you had the chance.

Yeah, I get winded much easier now. And this week sleeping has gotten more uncomfortable. I wake up with back or hip pain. I usually take a nap in the afternoon. The heat is starting to get to me sooner than it normally would as well.
I see the OB doctor tommorow for an infection that doesnt want to clear so I will mention the abdominal pain.
The one symptom I haven't had yet is heartburn.

I got lucky on that one too. Never had that or morning sickness. Instead I did all my hurling in between labor pains. I am lucky like that lol But once I got the epidural the throwing up stopped and I was good to go.
Yeah check with your doc. And as crazy as it sounds, keep the water going in, and keep your feet propped up when you are sitting down. All these things help with swelling.
You know I went nonstop when I was pregnant, and if I could go back, I swear I would relax and enjoy it more.

Always call a doc if your worried..better safe than sorry but yes your last trimester will be full of scary physical feelings, baby moves more, less room for your own organs, your muscles and bones are moving to get ready for delivery, praxton hix(sp?), I use to get the most awful shooting pains up my private area that would make me scream out in pain and as fast as it happened it was gone....your back will hurt, your hips are moving and will hurt.so many normal things....but just one abnormal thing could be serious so I say go in or at-least call the doc.

My DH mentioned the pain to our pharmacist. She had the same issue and recommended a support belt from the maternity store. I am gonna ask the doc about it.

@elguapo: I'm not even that, but I have been known to perform free breast examinations! (or at least offered to)
@N+T: I hope you feel better soon, but I doubt you will. As the baby grows, it squishes your organs together and can make normal activities uncomfortable. Get whatever relief you can and bear with it. I'm amazed at what women go through to give birth!!! You have both my sympathies and my admiration!

Aww N+T, I hope you feel better soon. If it makes you feel any better, your not alone in the discomfort dept. Im 27 weeks now, and sleeping in my bed is getting quite uncomfortable and even painful. I can feel my bones in my lower back and pelvic area cracking when I toss and turn at night and when I get out of bed. I get winded too, a one story house sounds like heaven these days. My belly tightens when I over do it with the house work. I do have a belly support belt and that brings some comfort for me. This is my 3rd pregnancy and my most uncomfortable, I'm having issues that I didn't have with the other two. I find when I have real bad cramps or pain in my belly, I lie down on my left side for awhile and that helps me most of the time. The farther along you are, the more uncomfortable you will be but don't panic, it's not that bad, just a pain in the butt. Are you waddling yet? It's all worth it though, and when the time comes closer and closer, your gonna be sooo excited to meet your little one...nervous too. Hang in there, your almost at the finish line and when I'm staring at the ceiling at 3am, I'll be thinking of you
