I think my kiddo needs braces.  Any rcommendations for an orthodonist?  Anyone know how much braces may set me back money wise?

Dr. Kimbrough is good but expensive.  We paid, after insurance, about $6000

I thought Kimbrough was the cheapest of all.  All are pretty much the same cost.  It does depend on what has to be done, and how long you have to wear them.  I went with Kimbrough with mine, but I got lucky and my dh's insurance paid for them in full.

I used Kimbrough again for my son, I love his office staff.   I got quotes from 2 others, Richards was one, and Kimbrough was better priced.

I can't imagine 6K for braces!  I paid under 2K, and my sons, who will be wearing them for 4 years is under 4K.

But again, it does depend on what they have to do.

We will use Kimbrough.  I took my dd to three different ones to get evaluated.  Kimbrough was the only one that said it would be better to wait a few years.  He said he could put them on now like the other two wanted to do, but we wouldn't be happy and she would end up in them again later on.  I appreciated his honesty and we will use him in the future.

man I hope my kids dont need braces. They both got their mommas teeth so I think we will be ok.

We just used Richards. Total cost was $5200. My out of pocket about $3800.

I used Richards for both my own and my DD's.  It was several years ago and I can't remember cost, but it wasn't too bad with insurance.  We were very pleased with Dr. Richards and his staff.

Dr. Richards across from Creekwood MS allll the way. He makes sure your teeth move exactly where they are supposed too and does a PERFECT job! The staff is so nice and caring and the office atmosphere is awesome. I would definetely and highly recommend them over anyone else.
