It seems every year we hear this type of story. It is so sad for all families envolved. I pray they find comfort.

This should be a wake up call for parents of teens. You have to watch them like hawks. And no, drinking or drugs is not something "all kids do".

@fcabanski:
The story is very sad for the poor girl who lost her life, and her family left behind. I agree, no....not all kids do drugs or drink. To be perfectly honest, I never touched a drug in my life, and didn't drink until I went to college, and NEVER got behind the wheel after doing so. My parents did watch me like hawks, they made it a point to know who my friends were, and who their parents were. They had to have my parent's "seal of approval" before I was allowed to go out and hang out with them. Although back then, I wasn't very happy about it, I thank them for it now. Who knows what kind of trouble I could have gotten into if my paren'ts weren't so diligent and careful. My kids are only 1 and 4, and I hope that in the future, if they were to ever make a not so wise decision, that they will know that they can call me and I will pick them up and get them home safely. Kids make mistakes, and unfortunately sometimes it ends up being fatal.
