Send my mom and sister both a gift card to their favorite places.  Send my mil a nice card. 

Then I realized that I did not send my mil anything in her card.  Not a good thing.  So I will be sending her a nice card from the grandchildren with a gift card for her.  lol  I was so proud of having it all done early too...

I just had my birthday yesterday and mothers day is coming up.  Cards are nice, presents are OK, but what I want most is what I did not get yesterday.  I want a phone call from my youngest son to say "I Love You."  I had dinner with my oldest son, my daughter from out of state called.  Yet the day was not complete because my son never calls.  So....the best present is not a present but your prescence.

As usual, I will probably get nada.  My birthday, anniversary, both kids birthdays all fall within 2 weeks of each other, so I think my husband gets overwhelmed.  Oh well, I am used to it.  If there is something I really want, I will just buy it myself.  I kind of gave DH an out this year by begging him to let us adopt a Shiba Inu....he was on the fence about it, and I told him that it could count as my birthday/anniversary/mother's day present.  I love the new doggie, and he doesn't "dislike" him, which is good enough for me.
 
I will take both my Mom and Mother in law out for a nice Mother's Day lunch, as well as send flowers.  My Mom lives in Arizona, but will be coming out to visit in a couple of weeks, so I will take her out then, and also let her pick out something for her horse.
