'Killer' swan attacks Illinois caretaker until he drowns

Investigators believe Hensley either got too close to the swan or the swan’s nesting area, the Sun-Times said. Hensley rolled off his kayak and landed in the water, and the swan kept up its relentless attack.

The Sun-Times reports that the swan continued to pursue Hensley as he tried to swim to shore. Hensley was submerged when emergency workers arrived, and an autopsy found that he died from drowning near the Bay Colony condominiums in unincorporated Des Plaines.

I know birds can be mean, especially when they have babies, but C'mon, swan's are docile creatures with no dam teeth. Just don't be such a sissy...Oh, wait, some guy died. Maybe he had a heart attack or something else, cause man, that's just too lame to be swallowed..

Both swans and geese can be aggressive.  You don't need to worry about their beaks, but their wings can break an arm.

@FoFa:  I know, BUT maybe the bird and stress from the attack scared him  to  the point of a heart attack, then he drowned. I'm sorry, they had to miss something there...LOL  My idea of swans is forever changed. I thought they were graceful, serene, quiet animals. Who knew????
OMG, it's just too strange.
