Just talked to a freind who lives in Lake Conroe saying that disney is planning on opening a theme park out there??!

Yes.  And the only reason he has been so quite lately is because his home has been more mud than anything, since the drought.  I am nervous as to what will happen when Lake Conroe fills back up.


(This has been an ongoing rummer for a long time.  I think the Chronicle did a story on this a couple years ago.  )

Someone from san antonio told me years ago disney wanted to build a park there but because texas was against gay marriage they decided not to build it.. My insurance guy told me that. Its cause disney has gay days and texas was not having that

Disney does not endore or sponser 'gay days', but they allow gay and lesbian people the same access to the park as they do anybody else.
Where do you people come up with this stuff?

Well I lived in cali my whole life and they always had a gay day at disneyland. Maybe they dont do it anymore but they used to do it...thats where I get the info from

@weddz pay attention. It wasnt said thay there isnt "gay days" at Disney. It was said that Disneu does not endorse "gay days" which is a fact. Disney does not control what groups of people come into their parks. And if you think Disney would turn down money "because texas is against gays," you dont know Disney!!!! They shamelessly make money in any way they can!

Well in FL they have a Gay Week.  It is one of the least busy times of the year.  And when you go to book it, like we did, they do tell you this is the Gay Week.  Then you can decide to go or not.  It is in early June if I remember correctly.

Even the guide books for Disney will let you know about this week.

But no the gay marriage thing has nothing to do with them coming here or not.   The rummer has just been going around for years, and there is always a "reason" as to why they will not come here.  

I just don't think they need another park this close to FL or CA.  We are sort of in the middle.  I can see them going to Canada

One more time, Disney has nothing to do with sponsorship, endorsing or coordinating gay days. People not connected to Disney organize it. Disney cant tell people they cant come to the park but they do know when it is every year and they give those who might be offended " fait warning."
