Has anyone else read the first book?  I know it's targeted at young adults, but my daughter recommended it.  I just finished the first book and will start the second tomorrow.  The premises of the districts and the games aren't really unique, but the characters are great and the story is intriguing.  I read the first book in a day.

Have read all 3.  Great series of books.  Wonderful character development.

Basically.  But the character development is wonderful.  And it is kids who are chosen to go.  

I so hope the movie stays as true as it can to the book.

I was up until 1:30 am finishing it last night so I could read it before taking my dd to see it.  I thought it was awesome and I've already downloaded the other two books to my kindle.
