So, Monkey aka Andie aka my grandaughter is sleeping in a big girl bed for the first time tonight.  She is getting so big

Aww how sweet! We call my DD monkey too. Have since the day she was born. They grow up way too fast. Hope she has sweet dreams in her new big girl bed!

At what average age do kids transition from crib to a big bed?

Our DD transitioned on her 2nd birthday. She was used to sleeping on her own in her crib though. Went from her crib to her toddler bed no problem.

Monkey is only 17 months but she started climbing out of her crib.  She does great at night but nap time is another story. She stands at door singing and playing
