I'm beta-testing a twitter-like "Mentions" functionality for the KDC forums...
How it works:
In your messages, type an '@' symbol before a user's name to "Mention" them.
Example:
Hi @fofa, how's it going?
When you do this, that person will get a little notification in their sidebar that they've been mentioned in a forum post. When they click on the link, they'll be able to navigate directly to the post where you mentioned them. This is a good way to get someone's attention and make sure they don't miss posts where you're referring to them.
I'm mentioning a few people here so they can see how it works:
@wallacepups, @mm4731, @TheTruthHurts, @Fofa, @Heathur, @Zephard, @nanuq+tikismom, @PedroDePacas, @taramay, @Burnsway, @TexINS, @lola, @BooBear, @GoldenGirl, @aggiebutterfly, @mamajulie, @kingwooddiscgolf, @nycoil, @WJo, @DiverDude, @Francita, @Annie, @Wooderson, @pharlap, @mpjp0907, @sapphire, @fcabanski, @mariasmith
Unfortunately, this does not work if you username has spaces in it.
